FAQs

Do I need a piano to take lessons?

Yes. Having an acoustic piano is best. Please ensure that it is tuned regularly (every 6-12 months). However, having an acoustic piano is not always realistic. If you have an electric piano/keyboard, make sure it has 88 keys and is fully weighted. If you have any questions, please reach out to me.

Can I, a grown-up, take lessons?

Yes! Absolutely. Please consider the time commitment that is required with regular practice and how it will fit into your schedule.

How often are lessons?

Lessons are once a week, on the same day and time.

Can my preschooler take lessons?

For anyone under the age of five, I do require a trial period of one month. This allows me to assess how well your child can focus on a task, listen to directions, as well as their general knowledge (do they know the alphabet, can they count, etc).

Do I have to practice outside of lessons?

Yes. You have to exercise regularly to stay in shape. Likewise, you have to practice to make progress in piano lessons.
